What’s for dinner?

It’s the relentless, age-old question that never fails to periodically stump the best of us. If you’re running out of ideas or need a break from the same old routine, it’s time to treat yourself to a trip to the Fort Smith Farmers Market.

Located on the corner of 2nd Street and Garrison Avenue in the heart of downtown, Fort Smith Farmers Market features up to 90 local famers and artisans on Tuesdays from April to November, 7am to noon, and Saturdays from 7am to noon year-round.

It’s on the bank of the Arkansas River, just a stone’s throw from Oklahoma, so the market is an attractive destination for visitors from both Arkansas AND Oklahoma.

Imagine the mouthwatering aroma of freshly-baked bread wafting through the cool morning air as you walk from stand to stand, selecting freshly-picked, locally-grown produce and handmade goods.

There’s something for everyone at the Fort Smith Farmer’s Market. Find fragrant herbs, vine-ripened tomatoes, bell peppers, new potatoes, carrots, yams and dozens of other varieties of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, packed full of nutrients and bursting with color.
